May 10: Ho-seok finds out that the aunt who had nursed him since he was a child had gotten sick. He then rushes to her house. He finds her bedridden yet laughing despite her circumstances. Ho-seok walks out before the two manage to make eye contact. He ends up walking along the bridge. A bus passes by, reminding him of his mother. He suddenly thinks about how both his mother and his aunt left him. Ho-seok collapses.[1][2][3]
