"Permission to Dance" is the sixteenth digital single (third all-English song) by BTS. It was released on July 9, 2021. Later the song is added as the second track in their first English single album Butter alongside "Butter".

The "R&B Remix" and "Instrumental" version the song also was added as the second track in their third digital single album Permission to Dance.

Awards and Nominations

"Permission to Dance" won multiple awards and achievements. It was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It earned 15.9 million streams, 1.1 million radio airplay impressions, and sold 140,000 copies in its first week of release. The song also became the band fifth number-one in ten months and two weeks. The only similar record in history was achieved by Michael Jackson in 1988.
