Kim Nam-joon (김남준; also as Kim Dogeon (도건김) in BEGINS ≠ YOUTH) is one of the seven main protagonists of the original story BTS Universe.
Personality
Nam-joon has a part-time job at a gas station. He always watches others from far away and lives with a complex resulting from not doing anything for the people he cares for.

On May 21, Year 15, Nam-joon goes inside his empty house. He calls out to his mother with no response. He says that he had gotten home late because he wanted to play with his friends for once, instead of going straight home to help. Suddenly, the phone rings, and after a moment of contemplation, Nam-joon picks it up.
History
In the prologue, he is assumed to be inside a prison and threw it to the floor break it in process.
Namjoon is one of the seven friends Seokjin has before they split up and he started working at a gas station. In the first episode, Seokjin sees Namjoon but he left without saying hello. Afterwards, Seokjin returned to see Namjoon, but he was in jail and when Seokjin visits him, Namjoon explained the situation to him. Namjoon had a fight with one of the drivers after the driver threw the money which is supposed to be his payment in the gas station and Namjoon fought back to the driver which then resulted in his detention. Namjoon continues his narration to Seokjin saying how the police officer said, "He is a beggar", the driver provoked him by saying, "He's a beggar", and he ended up in jail for refusing to reach an agreement. When asked if their other friends are doing well, Namjoon tells Seokjin that Jungkook and Yoongi are dead, Hoseok is in the hospital after an accident, while he wasn't sure about Taehyung and Jimin.
Namjoon's narration was the catalyst as it shaken Seokjin and he started to regret his past.[1]

Timeline
- 1st round of leap: Seokjin visits Namjoon but left without saying hello. He wasn't sure about his dream and because he failed to do anything, the loop ended with Namjoon going to the detention center. Seokjin learned what happened to his friends through Namjoon and he felt that everything was his fault. (Episode 1)
- 2nd round of leap: Seokjin woke up, forgetting the fact that he came back to past. Seokjin visits Namjoon but left without saying hello. The loop ended with Namjoon going to the detention center. (Episode 2)
- 3rd round of leap: Seokjin have decided to move and went to visit Namjoon and this time he stayed to see what Namjoon has been doing. Namjoon was mad with the repetitive quirks of costumers who throws money on the ground instead of handing it to him. He almost went to detention center, like the in 1st and 2nd but Seokjin stopped Namjoon, who was about to assault the costumer. Nam Joon honesty thanks Seokjin for stopping him and Seokjin asks Namjoon if he can contact Jungkook, but Namjoon says he doesn't know. Nam Joon observes Seokjin, calling him strange. Then, Seok-jin asks Nam to go to the sea one day and leaves the gas station. (Episode 2)
- 4th round of leap: Seokjin tells Namjoon to find Jungkook and started to search for him, he goes around the back alley and saw Jungkook. While heading towards Jungkook's direction, he called on his phone, telling him to remain calm which would backfire lead to Jungkook's suicide. Fortunately, the Seokjin was on his way to the right building and caught Jungkook right at the moment of his fall. Jungkook thanked Seokjin and changed the topic when Namjoon asked him why he was at the rooftop, saying the night view was beautiful. (Episode 2)
- 5th round of leap: After successfully saving Jungkook from committing suicide, a call came to his phone. Seokjin, Jungkook and Namjoon then rushed to the hospital after finding out that Yoongi is in danger. Yoongi died a few minutes after they arrived. (Episode 5)
- 6th round of leap: Namjoon follows Seokjin who hastily dragS him while he was saving everyone else. When Seokjin left Namjoon on the air after saving Jungkook, Namjoon who received a call rushed to the detention center and finds Taehyung who was jailed after getting caught vandalizing. While walking out of the detention center, they saw a police car about to head to a catch an arsonist. (Episode 6)
- 7th round of leap: Everyone cramps inside Seokjin's car as they make their way to the said hotel that Yoongi was staying through Taehyung's guesswork. They got in a accident with a truck and Seokjin regrets putting everyone's lives in another danger. (Episode 6)
- 8th round of leap: Seokjin realized his hastiness in saving everyone and as he wakes up in his bed after going back in time, he mapped the directions where each accidents would happen in search for the quickest possible way to save Yoongi. (Episode 6)
