"IDOL" is a song by BTS. It was released on August 24, 2018, serves as the title track and and appears as the fifteenth track of CD A in their second compilation album Love Yourself: Answer. A remixed version featuring American-Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj was released the same day in the digital version of their second compilation album. Also a stadium remix was released on October 16, 2018 and serves as the third track in their tenth Japanese single "FAKE LOVE/Airplane Pt.2".
This song has a Japanese version featured featured in their ninth Japanese single "Lights/Boy With Luv" and the album Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~. It also appears at the for their fourth Japanese compilation album BTS, THE BEST.
The song also appears as the thirteenth track on CD1 of their first anthology album Proof.
