Chapter 2 is a series of solo debuts albums of each BTS member, encompassing the albums Jack In The Box, "The Astronaut", Indigo, FACE, D-DAY, Layover and GOLDEN, along the following solo releases as the album HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, Right Place, Wrong Person, MUSE, the upcoming Jin's solo album, and collaborations with various artists as a team, unit or solo.[1]
The primary focus being around the members finding themselves through their solo music and simultaneously shooting Run BTS! episodes as a group,[2] the web series is currently on hiatus due their mandatory military service.

Solo debuts[]
Big Hit Music announced that BTS has turned the page on their new chapter, throughout which the members will harmoniously carry out their group and individual activities.[3]
- On June 25, 2022, Big Hit Music announced the release in July 15, 2022 of Jack In The Box, j-hope's solo studio album and he will be the first member of BTS to start this new journey and release his solo album.[3]
- On October 15, 2022, Jin announced in the BTS <Yet To Come> in BUSAN that he will be the second member releasing a solo album,[4] three days later Big Hit Music announced Jin's first official solo single album, "The Astronaut", released on October 28, 2022.[5]
- On November 1, 2022, Rolling Stones magazine released a photo pictorial and one on one interview of RM alongside American record producer Pharrell Williams, RM reveals he is working in his official first solo album,[6] nine days later Big Hit Music announced RM's first official solo studio album, Indigo, released on December 2, 2022.[7]
- On February 10, 2023, Jimin delighted fans by revealing during a Weverse live broadcast that his first-ever solo album is likely to be released in March.[8] On February 22, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jimin's first official solo mini album, FACE, released on March 24, 2023.[9]
- On March 26, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jimin's remix single, Like Crazy (Remixes).[10]
- On April 2, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Agust D's first official solo studio album and the last chapter of his trilogy, D-DAY, released on April 21, 2023.[11]
- On July 14, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's official first solo digital single, "Seven (feat. Latto)".[12]
- On July 17, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's remix single, Seven (Weekday Ver.).[13]
- On July 21, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's other remix single, Seven (Weekend Ver.).[14]
- On August 23, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's other remix single, "Seven (Alesso Remix)", released on August 25, 2023.[15]
- On October 27, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's other remix single, "Seven (David Guetta Remix)", released on October 30, 2023.[16]
- On August 8, 2023, Big Hit Music announced V's first official solo mini album, Layover, released on September 8, 2023.[17]
- On October 22, 2023, Big Hit Music announced V's remix single, "Slow Dancing (Remixes)", released on October 23, 2023.[18]
Onwards releases[]
According to Daishin Securities, BTS plans to drop more than three solo albums in 2024. These include two solo albums from recently enlisted members (RM, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook), and Jin's upcoming debut solo album.[19] Later it was revealed that the albums were RM's second studio album, Right Place, Wrong Person and Jimin's second solo mini album, MUSE.
- j-hope releases;
- On February 26, 2023, Big Hit Music announced j-hope will be releasing a solo single "on the street" on March 3, 2023.[20]
- On July 16, 2023, Big Hit Music announced j-hope's physical version of his solo studio album, Jack In The Box (HOPE Edition), released on August 18, 2023.[21]
- On February 18, 2024, Big Hit Music announced j-hope's soundtrack album, HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, for their documentary film HOPE ON THE STREET. It was released on March 29, 2024.[22]
- Jin releases;
- On December 28, 2023, Daishin Securities revealed Jin's upcoming solo album, will be released in 2024, after the singer completes his mandatory military service.[19]
- RM releases;
- On April 25, 2024, Big Hit Music announced RM's second studio album, Right Place, Wrong Person, released on May 24, 2024.[23]
- On September 1, 2024, Megan Thee Stallion revealed that she would be a collaboration with RM.[24] On September 6, 2024, "Neva Play" was released along with a music video.[25]
- Jimin releases;
- On December 20, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jimin will be releasing a solo single "Closer Than This" on December 22, 2023.[26]
- On May 13, 2024, Big Hit Music announced a special edition of Jimin's soundtrack song, "Angel Pt.1".[27]
- On June 17, 2024, Big Hit Music announced Jimin's second solo mini album, MUSE, released on July 19, 2024.[28]
- On July 22, 2024, Big Hit Music announced Jimin's second remix single, Who (Remixes).[29]
- On July 31, 2024, Big Hit Music announced Jimin will be releasing a English version of his song "Be Mine" on August 2, 2024.[30]
- Jung Kook releases;
- On September 23, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's second solo digital single, "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)" and its alternative version.[31]
- On October 2, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's remix single, "3D : The Remixes".[32]
- On October 27, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's other remix single, "3D (feat. Jack Harlow) (MK Remix)", released on October 30, 2023.[16]
- On November 23, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's other remix single, "3D (feat. Jack Harlow) - Justin Timberlake Remix", released on November 24, 2023.[33]
- On October 3, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's first official solo studio album, GOLDEN, released on November 3, 2023.[34]
- On November 5, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's remix single, "Standing Next to You: The Remixes", released on November 6, 2023.[35]
- On November 28, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's other remix single, "Standing Next to You - USHER Remix", released on December 1, 2023.[36]
- On October 10, 2023, announced Jung Kook's collaborative digital single, "TOO MUCH", released on October 20, 2023.[37]
- On June 2, 2024, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's digital single, "Never Let Go", released on June 7, 2024, to celebrate the group's 11th anniversary, as part of the 2024 BTS Festa.[38]
- On September 23, 2023, Big Hit Music announced Jung Kook's second solo digital single, "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)" and its alternative version.[31]
- V releases;
Group releases[]
In March 2022, Snoop Dogg revealed that he had a collaboration with BTS.[40] On July 20, 2022, BTS and Benny Blanco announced their collaboration along Snoop Dogg, "Bad Decisions", released on August 5, 2022. It is also revealed that it was a unit song sung by Jin, Jimin, V and Jung Kook.[41][42]
On November 1, 2022, Rolling Stones magazine released a photo pictorial and one on one interview of RM alongside American record producer Pharrell Williams, Williams revealed that he recently recorded a song with BTS for his next album.[6]
On May 30, 2023, Big Hit Music announced BTS will be releasing a digital single "Take Two" on June 9, 2023, to celebrate their 10th anniversary as part of the 2023 BTS Festa.[43]
On April 14, 2023, Thymos Media announced that BTS would be singing the theme song of the new 3D animated superhero series BASTIONS. Notably, the song will feature BTS as a full group, as it was recorded prior to Jin's military enlistment. On May 12, 2023, "The Planet" was released along with a music video featuring the characters of BASTIONS dancing to the song.[44]
