BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour (stylized in all caps) was the second worldwide concert tour by BTS to promote their Wings series, including their second studio album Wings and their repackage You Never Walk Alone. The tour began on February 18, 2017 and concluded on December 10, 2017 in South Korea.

On July 16, 2017, BTS announced new tour dates under the name BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour The Final starting on December 8, 2017 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea.[1]

This tour also was the Episode III of the BTS Live Trilogy, with the BTS Begins concerts as Part I and The Red Bullet as Part II.

Background[]

Tickets for the US shows sold-out within a few minutes. Due to high demand, two more shows were announced in the Prudential Center and the Honda Center. With over 60,000 fans were in attendance in concerts across Newark, Chicago, and Anaheim. The group went on to sell out their concert headlined in Chile and became the fastest K-pop group to sell out the Movistar Arena, Chile's biggest indoor arena. The press release from Big Hit Entertainment quoted Chilean promoters as saying. According to Puntoticket, the Chilean ticket sales and distribution company, the BTS show was the fastest-selling show in Chile's history, only comparable to Maroon 5’s concert in 2016, selling more than 10,000 tickets in less than 2 hours.

In Asia, it was reported that BTS had sold 20,000 tickets in Bangkok, 20,000 in Manila, 10,000 in Hong Kong, and 145,000 across 6 cities in Japan.

  • Tickets for the US tour sold out within a few minutes on the day it was released.
  • They were the fastest K-pop group to sell out the Movistar Arena: Chile's biggest indoor arena.
  • The Wings Tour show was the fastest-selling show in Chile's history, only comparable to Maroon 5’s concert in 2016, selling more than 10,000 tickets in less than 2 hours.
  • It was announced on July 26, 2017, that they will have another part of the tour called the 2017 BTS LIVE TRILOGY EPISODE Ⅲ THE WINGS TOUR THE FINAL ; they will perform in Seoul, South Korea, Taipei, Taiwan and Macau, China.
  • On November 4, Jimin was not able to participate in certain stages in the 'Wings Tour' concert in Macau, after experiencing muscle pains in his neck and shoulders, however, he was participating in the concert sitting in a chair. This also happened to Jung Kook on the BTS World Tour: Love Yourself in London on October 9. However, unlike Jimin, Jung Kook injured his foot after he collided with floor furnishes.
