"ARMY Day" (Hangul: 아미 데이) is a day dedicated to ARMY, being celebrated on July 9. It marks the day when the name "ARMY" was first coined as the official name for BTS fans.

"A.R.M.Y" stands for "Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth" and it carries quite some meaning behind it, given that "Army" is associated with the military, body armor, and how those two things are always together, the fandom name basically means that fans will always be together with BTS.

BTS and A.R.M.Y are almost mirrored images of each other and they have a relationship that is affected by each other. The symbol of A.R.M.Y is expressed as a door on their viewpoint who is waiting & welcoming BTS on the opposite door when BTS opens a new door.

On July 9, 2023, BTS released their new book, ‘Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS’, marking the 10th anniversary of their fandom. The book chronicles their music career and includes interviews, photos, and QR codes. The BTS' members are currently on temporary hiatus due to mandatory military service.[1]and a google doodle with purple heart balloons

On July 9, 2022, Google has launched a honor for BTS. This day, when a fan searched for “BTS” on Google, a secret Easter egg was unlocked. On the search results page for BTS (on mobile or desktop), users can click on the purple heart icon that appears next to the BTS header on the upper left-hand side. That will unleash a flurry of purple balloons that you can pop with a click or tap; clicking on the balloons with microphones will reveal special audio messages from the band members themselves.[2]

On July 9, 2021, it was released his third English single, Permission to Dance and the second single album Butter. These releases are part of the Dynamite Trilogy. All the content released in this era have the concept of "hope for making it through the COVID pandemic together". This era is the sixth part of the Chapter 1: Reflection of Youth and the sixth part of the BTS Chronicle.[3]

On July 7, 2020, ARMYs change their home screen (wallpaper) to gradient purple and post it on Weverse. On July 8, 2020, ARMYs sketch the ARMY LOGO on their arms and post it on Weverse and Twitter with a hashtag #BTSARMYFOREVER and #ARMYDAY.[4]

- In ARMYPEDIA, RM revealed that A.R.M.Y was only one of the choices for the fandom name. If A.R.M.Y didn't get selected as the official fandom name, fans might have been called "Bang-wools" or "Bells".
